Children’s Program
What children and youth need most is our time, attention and care – the greatest gifts.
We run a formal Sunday Children’s Program during the school year. During the summer worship services, crafts, games and individual activities are provided.
Children join us for 10:00 am worship on Sunday in the Sanctuary for the opening of the service. They are welcome to play, colour and read at the small table in the Narthex, or sit in the pews with their family. For the part of our service called Sharing a Story with the Young and the Young at Heart they are welcome, if they would like to come to the front pew of the Sanctuary, for a special youth-oriented talk. Afterwards we head up to the Youth Room or down to the Norfolk Room for some youth/child focused learning.
We orient the learning around a Bible story and do crafts or activity sheets. Questions are always welcome. Sometimes we do songs. Our talented young people make drawings, mobiles, timelines and other structures. If some have a difficult time sitting still or concentrating, we have room to move and play.
As part of Trinity’s focus on Reconciliation, we discuss Indigenous culture and current issues, in our aim to be ecumenical.
In the past we have held family events after Church including time for families to connect over lunch and snacks.
Check our Trinity Facebook page, Instagram and weekly announcements for news about camps and activities for kids and youth.
