Our Fall Book Study

Our Fall Book Study: “Intercultural Visions: Called to Be the Church” Friends in Christ, With fall almost here, we find our traveling has wind down, but our souls may still be seeking. If you are looking for a spiritual journey with your Community of faith, then here is an opportunity for fellowship and reflection. Beginning September 21st, 2025, until November 16th 2025 on the 1st and 3rd weeks (Jayden's weeks.) of the month for a total of five sessions after our Sunday Service. This will wrap up just before Advent begins. This study is a focus on the diversity of the United Church which we express in our Song of Faith: We are called to be the Church: to celebrate God’s presence, to live with respect in Creation,to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. The book is called: “Intercultural Visions: Called to Be the Church” which focuses on the way we worship God and how we all bring a piece of “home” with us when we gather together in faith. It is a great chance to discuss how our cultures and families have shaped the way we connect with the Sacred, through Jesus and each other. If you are interested, please let me know by email. The aim is for everyone to have a copy of their own (in PDF format) so that you can keep it afterwards. Since our study has already begun, I wish to share with you the schedule of our remaining sessions: Sunday October 5th – Chapter 3 - To Love and Serve Others (or to Be Loved and Served) Sunday October 19th – Chapter 5 – To Resist Evil Sunday November 2nd – Chapter 6 - To Proclaim Jesus, Crucified and Risen Sunday November 16th – Afterword: We are Not Alone….Thanks be to God Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you there. Pastor Jayden
