Thinking Beyond the Market film viewing with Q and A – Wednesday, May 6 @ 6:30 p.m. (Auditorium)

The Justice and Outreach Committee will be showing the film Thinking Beyond the Market by Dr. Brian Doucet, Associate Professor of Planning at the University of Waterloo.  The film takes us across Canada to learn about policies, programs and projects that are already happening and are having a positive impact on addressing the housing crisis.  After the film Dr. Doucet will be joined in a Q and A with Mayor Cam Guthrie, Guelph’s Mayor since 2014, David McAuley, a local architect who has completed many affordable and small neighbourhood community housing projects and Dr. Mary-Kate Craig, a community weaver, researcher, and co-founder of Junction Village Community Land Trust.  Admission is free.  Donations of food or cash for Chalmers Community Services Centre are welcomed.
